Abstract:

Collection of 9 typescript (mimeographed) protest letters with the same text addressed to "Monsieur le Directeur Général," each with holograph date (May 23, 1968) and signature, proclaiming the signee's affiliation with Comité d'action étudiants-écrivains and prohibiting the use of the signee's name or work by the Office de radiodiffusion-télévision française (O.R.T.F.). The call for a boycott of the O.R.T.F. arose out of the events that took place in Paris in May 1968, which started as a French student movement at the University of Nanterre known as Mouvement du 22 Mars (Movement of 22 March). Signers of the letters include: Robert Antelme, Hugues Autexier, Maurice Blanchot, François Bott, Vincent Bounoure, Louis-René Des Forêts, Marguerite Duras, Françoise d'Eaubonne, and D. Moreau
